Board Approves Funding for Community Mitigation Efforts

The South Arkansas Fire Protection District Board of Directors has approved the allocation of up to $25,000 to support local wildfire mitigation efforts. These funds will be used to compensate personnel conducting mitigation work within the community, with the goal of reducing wildfire risk and increasing overall preparedness.

This investment reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to public safety, forest health, and proactive fire prevention. Work will be carried out in coordination with local partners and based on priority areas identified through recent assessments.

We appreciate the continued support and involvement of our community as we work together to build a safer, more resilient South Arkansas Fire Protection District.
