Our Fleet: Ready for Local Response and National Deployment
The South Arkansas Fire Protection District maintains a versatile and highly capable fleet designed to meet the diverse challenges of wildfire response—both at home and across the country. Our apparatus are built for performance in the rugged Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), where quick mobility, reliable water access, and adaptability are essential. Each unit plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of our community and supporting national emergency deployments when called upon.
Engine 311 – Type 3 Wildland Engine
Engine 311 is a nationally deployable Type 3 engine built for wildfire suppression in tough terrain and WUI areas. With a 500-gallon water tank, high ground clearance, and structural protection capabilities, it’s a key asset for both local defense and extended wildfire assignments across the country.
Tender 12 – Tactical Water Tender
With a 2,000-gallon water tank, onboard pump, and portable drop tank, Tender 12 provides critical water support in areas without reliable sources. It works in tandem with engines like 311 to deliver sustained suppression power during wildfires, both locally and regionally.
Engine 111 – Rebel Summit Brush Truck
Engine 111 is a rugged, off-road brush truck carrying 450 gallons of water—perfect for accessing ranchlands, narrow trails, and remote wildfire areas. Its small footprint and powerful performance make it ideal for initial attacks and structure defense in hard-to-reach environments.

Engine 112 – Rebel Striker Brush Truck
Engine 112 is a Type-6 Striker brush truck designed for speed and agility. With 300 gallons of water and a high-pressure pump, it's built for rapid response, spot fire suppression, and navigating rugged WUI zones where every second counts.
Together, our fleet enables us to respond quickly and effectively to local wildfires while also standing ready to support other communities through national deployments. These engines and tenders aren’t just vehicles—they’re vital tools in protecting lives, property, and natural landscapes across the region and beyond.
